On Tour with Dutch Minion and Her Bike — A Weekend Worth Repeating

DutchMinion and het bike Luxemburg tour: The concept is simple: you pay for Diana’s local expertise and expertly crafted routes, while everything else—accommodation, food, and budget—is up to you. The weekend starts in Belgium, quickly transitions from highway to beautiful winding roads, and is based in Enscherange at Camping Val d’Or. Routes are tailored to the group’s experience level, and everyone rides at their own pace, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

On Tour with Dutch Minion and Her Bike — A Weekend Worth Repeating
I’ve now joined Dutch Minion and her bike (Diana) on the Luxembourg tour three times—and that alone probably tells you everything you need to know. But here’s the full picture.

The Setup: Simple, Flexible, and Rider-Focused
The weekend kicks off on Friday at a meeting point near Tessenderlo (Belgium), where the group gathers, fuels up, and gets acquainted. After a short highway stint (about 45–60 minutes), things quickly get interesting as you peel off into smaller, more technical and scenic roads all the way toward basecamp.

Basecamp is set in the quiet village of Enscherange, at Camping Val d’Or—a great little spot where you can choose how you stay:
  •   Tent
  •  “Tiny house” / barrel
  •  Chalet
This flexibility is exactly what makes the tour stand out.

What You Actually Pay For
Unlike many guided tours, you’re not paying for an all-inclusive package. You’re paying for Diana’s expertise
  •  Deep knowledge of the region
  •  Carefully crafted routes
  •  Group guidance and structure
Everything else is up to you—food, accommodation style, and budget. Want to cook your own meals? Go for it. Prefer eating out? Plenty of options. It keeps the trip accessible and personal.

The Riding Experience
What really elevates this tour is how customized it feels. Routes are:
  • Tailored to the group’s skill level
  • Adjusted in length and technical difficulty
  • Influenced by rider preferences
And importantly: everyone rides at their own pace. No pressure, no stress—just good riding.
Even after three trips, I still discovered new roads each time. Sure, by the third visit I recognized a few landmarks, but a large part of the routes still felt fresh.

 The Weekend Flow
  • Friday:  Meet up → Ride to basecamp via scenic roads
  • Saturday: Full day of tailored riding in Luxembourg’s best terrain
  • Sunday:  Pack up → Morning ride → Final lunch stop → Everyone heads home It’s structured, but never rigid.

The other Dutch Minion Tour
During summer, Diana also organizes a midweek tour in the Auvergne (France)—a volcanic region known for incredible riding. It’s still on my personal wishlist, but based on the Luxembourg experience, expectations are high.

 Final Thoughts
 If you’re looking for:
  • A budget-friendly motorcycle getaway
  • Stunning scenery and twisty roads
  • A relaxed, rider-first atmosphere
  • And routes you won’t easily find yourself

Then this is absolutely worth checking out. I’m already planning my next trip… 😅

If you are intrestend after reading this.
