Fredriksten Fortress is a historic 17th-century fortress in Halden, Norway, near the Swedish border. Built to defend against Swedish invasions, it's famous as the site where Swedish King Charles XII was killed in 1718. Today it's a well-preserved landmark offering panoramic views and hosting concerts and events.
