Warning
There are some very tight concrete switchbacks that lead down to the river, these are surprisingly slipper even though the concrete is grooved.
About this place
Tolantongo is an incredible location to visit with it's thermal teal volcanic river. This place gets VERY busy on long weekends and holidays. It's best to visit during the week and when school is in session. There is a hotel here or you can camp by the river side, there are also restaurants here but don't expect gourmet food. There is a store at the hotel that sells a variety of alcohol including beer, wine and tequila.
