Høytorp fort is an old army installation from the time Norway was in a conflict with Sweden. The fort has several cannon placements as well as old gun positions and barbed wire defenses. The inner bastion is open some Sundays for guided tours. The fort itself is one of Norways largest inland forts and has over 1 km of underground tunnels and access ways.

Close by there is a restaurant open most weekends and in summer the fort can be used as an RV-camp site.
