This Specimen represents one of the largest trees of this species.  This is a easy (ish) ride from just about any direction.  A creek is just East of here.  Do not drink the water as cow feces might be in the water, filter first to be safe.

Laurel Fork Campground Camping Camping fees are $8 per night for each site. Fees are payable on-site. Restrooms are not available at this site. Potable water is not available at this site. Located along the Laurel Fork River between Laurel Fork North and South Wilderness areas, this primitive campground offers visitors a nice camping opportunity in the Middle Mountain area on the site of an old Civilian Conservation Corps location. Day hiking and backpacking opportunities are available leaving from this campground as well through the Laurel Fork North and South Wilderness.

The Saline Valley Hot Springs are located in Death Valley National Park, California, with coordinates around 36°48'20"N, 117°46'24"W, offering a remote, clothing-optional natural retreat with pools varying in temperature, ideal for visiting in fall or spring for pleasant desert weather.Pack in-Pack outDesert soils are slow to heal - any footprints or tread marks can last for decades, please stay on trail.Decomposition of food scraps take longer than usual to breakdown, please pack it all out.Wildlife aren't able to drink when humans are camping near water sources, please don't camp right next to tanks/springs.Be on the lookout for desert tortoises, they can look like rocks in the road, please do not approach or handle if spotted. 

Laufman Campground is a six-unit campground located four miles southeast of Highway 395 at, the small town of Milford, California. Each campsite has a table and fire ring. A vault toilet is provided. There is no water or garbage service.

nice little spot along the Ash Creek for camping or staging for a days ride.

This six unit campground is located five miles north of Frenchman Lake. This a family and equestrian campground. This is the only equestrian campground on the Beckwourth District. There is a horse corral across the road from the campground with a table and fire ring. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and food locker. A vault toilet is provided. There is a hand pump with non-potable water. No garbage service is provided.Lots of USFS roads in the area.  we rode up to the Lookout  40.116957, -120.317988 as seen in the second photo

Right along the path of one of the NorCal BDR legs if you need fuel, Adin is the closest gas station.I found this after the Campground to the Southeast of here was full of hunters.Nice a quiet except for the occasional logging truck or motorcycle going by.Evidence of cows nearby.Ash Creek is located near Adin, CA in the Modoc National Forest, featuring flat terrain with scattered trees and open spaces. Taylorsville is a optional leg of the NorCal BDR.
