We're getting ready for a unique enduro trip to Tunisia! Desert landscapes, sand dunes, rocky trails, and a solid dose of off-road excitement await. 🏜️🚀
This time, you have the opportunity to join the expedition – if you dream of riding the Saharan sand and a true adventure on two wheels, now's the perfect time to join the team! 🤙🔥
Route character
- Start and end around Tunis, with access via Port Tunis.
- Roughly a dozen stages (days) – for example “Tunisia 2026 – S01 – 118 km” as the first day, with similar or longer stages afterwards.
- Style: fast transfer sections marked as “road‑fast‑all” plus gravel/desert legs connecting fuel, attractions and overnight spots
Main points along the way
- Port Tunis and surroundings: route start when you leave the ferry.
- Historical areas in the north: The Archaeological Site of Tubernuc, ruins, an aqueduct, and several archaeological sites and old villages (Guermassa Ancient Village, Site archéologique ksar rouge, Ruins).
- Frequent fuel: many “Fuel Station” waypoints, including Agil Majel Bel Abbès, so range between refuels is clearly planned.
Desert section and overnights
- Entry into southern desert areas around Ksar Ghilane and nearby forts/castles (Ksar Ghilane Castle).
Key desert landmarks: Café Tembaine, Tafelberg Tembaine, Lake Houidhat Erreched, Dak kbar, Bortal Fakher, various “Point of View” and “scenic” spots in dune and rocky terrain.
Movie spots and tourist highlights
- Strong Star Wars theme: Star Wars – Lars Family Homestead Exterior, Mos Espa – Star Wars, Ong Jemel, “Film shooting site”, “The film tunnel”, plus old tanks marked as attractions.
- Other highlights: El Jem amphitheatre (Amphithéâtre d’El Jem), Ksar Chenini, Tamaghza Waterfall, Le Cascades, a canyon (“Cayon”), various ksars/castles and viewpoints.
